Frequently Asked Questions

  • My fee is $170 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

  • I am a private-pay practice, which means I don't bill insurance companies directly. This gives us the freedom to work at a pace and in a way that's right for you — without insurance companies deciding how many sessions you can have or what we're allowed to address.

That said, I provide a monthly superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you have a PPO plan, it's worth calling your insurance provider to ask: 'What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?' Many clients are surprised by what they can get reimbursed.

  • My practice is focused on women's mental health, and the majority of my work is with adult women — particularly those in their 30s, 40s, and 50s navigating major life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and midlife shifts including perimenopause and menopause. If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, the best thing to do is reach out for a free consultation.

  • The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's bringing you in, your history, your goals, and what you've tried before. You'll also have space to ask me questions. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — we go at your pace, always.

  • It depends entirely on what you're working on and what you want from therapy. Some women come in with a specific issue and feel significantly better within a few months. Others choose to do deeper, longer-term work. We'll talk about your goals early on and revisit them as we go. You're always in the driver's seat.

  • I primarily offer telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for clients anywhere in Maryland. I have access to an office so there are opportunities for in-person sessions as well. Many women appreciate the flexibility of mixing both depending on their schedule.

  • Item The best way to find out is to talk. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can get a sense of who I am before committing to anything. Therapeutic fit is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes — so I want you to feel confident before we begin. If you decide you want a different approach than I offer I am happy to offer recommendations.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged the full session fee. I understand that life happens — I'm always willing to have a conversation if something unexpected comes up.

  • Yes — I am currently accepting a small number of new clients. I keep my caseload intentionally small to give each person my full attention. If you're interested, I'd encourage you to reach out soon.
